VOLANDIA PARCO E MUSEO DEL VOLO
includedVolandia offers its public an entertaining experience to learn about the history of aeronautics, with a special focus on the national excellences that, over a century and more, have contributed to the conquest of the skies. The hybrid park and museum formula breaks away from traditional canons to embrace the format of American-style museums and open its doors not only to the most enthusiastic, but also to those visitors looking for an experience that in addition to being educational is fun, relaxing and, why not, playful. After getting to know the more than 100 aircraft on display, from the CA1 (the first Italian aircraft to fly) to the AW609 (the futuristic convertiplane), it is possible to completely change genre and admire the cars of the ASI-Bertone Collection, or the trains and trams of the Ogliari Museum, or even try your hand at driving a plane in the flight simulator area, while the little ones can spend hours of fun in the large outdoor and indoor play areas. A visit to Volandia can last from a few hours to a whole day, perhaps with a break at the Flight Café or at the Fast Food, near which a unique event in Italy takes place every Sunday: the ignition of a real jet (Hunting Jet Provost) in front of hundreds of fascinated spectators.
For schools of all levels Volandia offers a wide range of educational activities, from Little Astronauts for kindergartens to Flight Simulation for high schools. Guided tours are also available for groups of at least 10 people.
