VILLA REALE DI MONZA

Monza (MB)
included
The Reggia di Monza, shows extraordinary attractiveness thanks to the presence of numerous possibilities for activities and entertainment. The Villa Reale, a neoclassical masterpiece steeped in history, was built by the Habsburgs in the 18th century. Commissioned by the imperial architect Giuseppe Piermarini, it was completed in three years. Today, an important place of art and culture.

The tour includes 28 rooms between Apartments and Halls: a true journey through history from the Habsburgs to the Savoy dynasty. The visit, which lasts about 60 minutes, will start from the Entrance Hall leading to the Halls of Representation on the First Noble Floor, which most of all still bear the neoclassical decorations; it will then continue on the Second Floor with the Apartment of the Prince of Naples, adapted by the architect Majnoni on the occasion of Vittorio Emanuele III's wedding, the Apartment of the Duchess of Genoa and that of the Emperor of Germany; then it will be the turn of the Library and its fascinating boiserie made of walnut wood and the Apartments of King Umberto I and Queen Margherita, finally ending in the Ballroom with its splendid view over the Royal Gardens. The tour is self-guided with narrative interludes by tour guides who recount anecdotes and the history of Villa Reale.
