ROSSINI ART SITE
includedRossini Art Site is a 10-hectare sculpture park nestled in the green heart of the Lambro Valley Park. The scenic and evocative location prompted entrepreneur and patron Alberto Rossini to choose this place as his residence and home for his prestigious art collection.
The core of the Rossini Collection consists of works by the great protagonists of Italian art in the second half of the 20th century, with monumental sculptures by artists such as Pietro Consagra, Andrea Cascella, Fausto Melotti, Bruno Munari, Grazia Varisco and many others.
Alongside these, the park also hosts works site-specific or realised in collaboration with Rossini's company by emerging and international artists such as Dennis Oppenheim, Hidetoshi Nagasawa and Erik Dietman.
Finally, an impressive underground gallery displays extraordinary works by the masters of Nouveau Réalisme, including César, Jean Tinguely, Daniel Spoerri and Arman.
The Rossini Art Site embodies its founder's desire to create a flexible and welcoming space, where an unconventional artistic experience can be lived in contact with nature. An itinerary among gentle hills, in a unique landscape context, also enriched by the architectural value of the central Pavilion, designed by architect James Wines of the SITE studio in NY.
NOTICE
Due to a violent episode of bad weather that directly affected the area, causing significant damage, Rossini Art Site will be temporarily closed to the public. The reopening will take place as soon as the necessary security conditions are restored to ensure an adequate reception for visitors.
