Here, in fact, several cult areas are known with alignments of stelae and boulders, around which ceremonies and rituals took place (Anvòia, Pat, Passagròp and Ceresolo di Malegno). Driving for about 2 km along the carriage road from the Church of S. Rocco di Ossimo Inferiore, one arrives at the entrance to the park at Asinino. A series of information panels illustrates the excavation campaigns conducted in the Anvòia area by Francesco Fedele (University Federico II of Naples, excavations 1988-2003), during which four boulders were found, aligned in a north-south orientation. Of these, three were facing east with the main faces historiated. Particularly important was the 'in situ' finding of votive offerings, post holes and piles of pebbles with the presence of the remains of stelae, possibly broken intentionally. The depictions engraved on the surfaces of the three largest boulders evoke, in a highly stylised manner, human faces; it is possible to recognise parallel 'U' or 'T' shaped lines, overlapping triangles, eye pendants and collars. Only on the monolith called 'M3' are there some depictions of daggers with a triangular blade and a half-moon pommel, of the 'Remedello' type (2800-2400 BC). The ancient chalcolithic site is illustrated by a model showing how it looked 4,500 years ago and by resin reproductions of the originals, removed for conservation reasons.
