Palazzo Gromo Losa is located in the historic village of Biella Piazzo, opposite Palazzo Ferrero and Palazzo La Marmora, with which it forms the Cultural Centre of Biella Piazzo. Formerly a stately home (since the 14th century), the building - enlarged over the centuries to its current size - was purchased at the end of the 19th century by the Rosminian Sisters, who founded the 'Beata Vergine d'Oropa' (BVO) Institute, which over time has become an important reference point for the Biella school system. In 2004, it was finally acquired by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Biella, which promoted its complete restoration, creating an auditorium, a panoramic terrace, and elegant exhibition spaces in the basement. The work of valorisation was enhanced by the proposal of a private patron from Biella, a rose and gardening enthusiast, who transformed the green areas of the complex into a park inspired by the criteria of the 'Italian-style' garden, creating suggestive corners with various botanical species. In 2016, the Foundation set up an instrumental company for the management of Palazzo Gromo Losa called "Palazzo Gromo Losa Srl" to which it granted a free loan and management of the entire property.
