Palazzo del Broletto

Brescia (BS)
The Broletto palace, the medieval seat of the reigning lords over the city, today houses the offices of the provincial administration, the Brescia prefecture, and some offices of the Brescia municipality. The origin of the name derives from the fact that the land on which the palace is now built was originally a garden-garden, called a brolo, hence the name Broletto.
