PALAZZO BORELLI
includedThe noble palace, named after the marquis who commissioned its construction in the early 17th century, features a beautiful Baroque brick façade. The entrance is characterised by a vaulted colonnade depicting the Borelli coat of arms and a richly decorated staircase that joins the Palazzo and the Palazzetto through a system of balconies.
On the first floor, the one dedicated to the aristocratic class, the rooms feature valuable frescoes and decorated wooden ceilings from the 18th - 19th century. The palazzetto also houses the Lalla Romano space, a permanent exhibition dedicated to the writer and painter from Demonte.
Thanks to the Galleria Carlo Alberto, the building is connected to the adjoining park, which is a fine example of a 19th-century garden: with its four terraces, chapel, ice house, lace tower, and the rich variety of trees and hedges, fountains, grottoes and its greenhouse, the park is a jewel worth discovering.
