Opera 5 Moiola

Moiola (CN)
Fuori circuito Non in abbonamento
Fortified work of the Vallo Alpino del Littorio, one of the largest in the Cuneo area, built between 1940 and 1941. Built next to the Ponte di San Membotto bridge, it bordered what is now State Road 21.

Cave work belonging to the never completed fourth defensive line of the Stura Valley of the Vallo Alpino del Littorio. Built on several levels at altitude, it was equipped with block and periscope observatories, with a total of four entrances. Parts of the work remained unfinished, but the structure was nevertheless manned. It is also equipped with staff barracks, built in a protected position under the rock face and today home to the visitor reception.
