OGR Torino
includedOGR Torino is a 35,000 m2 international hub in the heart of Turin, dedicated to innovation, contemporary culture and food. Built between 1885 and 1895 and used for a century for train maintenance, the former Officine Grandi Riparazioni are now workshops of ideas and talent and represent one of the most important examples of 19th century industrial architecture in Turin.
Since 2017, thanks to Fondazione CRT's redevelopment, OGR Torino has been a centre for production and experimentation in the artistic and technological spheres, an inclusive space for the city and open to the world: site-specific works, collective and solo exhibitions by some of the most important names in contemporary art find their place alongside live performances by the protagonists of the international music scene, coexisting with the ecosystem of start-ups, large corporations and acceleration programmes dedicated to the innovators of today and tomorrow.
In addition to temporary exhibitions, events and projects developed with national and international partners - such as MoMA PS1 in New York, Tate Modern in London, the British Council, and the la Caixa Foundation in Barcelona - visitors can discover the history of OGR Torino with the permanent exhibition as it was as it is. The interactive tour is a journey on an imaginary railway carriage, tracing the evolution of this cathedral of labour, a spearhead of the city's technology and progress, from the end of the last century to the present day.
