MUSEO VILLA BERNASCONI LA CASA CHE PARLA
includedVilla Bernasconi is a new idea of a museum that actively and emotionally involves the visitor, placing him at the centre of the narrative and making him feel at home. The museum is in fact a house that speaks: it is Villa Bernasconi itself that guides the visitor through the museum tour by means of first-person narration. In this house one can move about freely guided by the #vocidivilla living a modern, multisensory and interactive cultural experience, among historical documents, works of art and multimedia content that will make one browse through drawers or answer the telephone. The visit already includes some sound suggestions outside the building and is structured on the two noble floors of the Villa, through ten rooms, which correspond to the usual rooms of a house. On the mezzanine floor, where there is the dining room and music room, the historical, artistic and cultural context of the period in which the villa was built (i.e. the early 1900s and the Belle Epoque) is recounted, of which the villa itself well symbolises the social, economic, cultural and aesthetic transformations, and of which it represents the intrinsic spirit of modernity. On the upper floor, where the bedrooms and bathrooms used to be, the story of the entrepreneur who was the first owner of the villa, Davide Bernasconi, is told, along with that of his family and above all of the company he founded, Tessiture Bernasconi, with a focus on the innovative role and impact that his entrepreneurial activity had for the entire Como silk district and for the territory, in direct comparison with contemporary innovative creativity.
