Puppet and Puppet Theatre Museum - Casa Gianduja

Casa Gianduja - Museo Teatro delle Marionette e dei Burattini is a multifunctional cultural space located near the famous Automobile Museum. Inaugurated in February 2024, the Fondazione Marionette Grilli collects the legacy of the historical Compagnia Marionette Grilli, active since 1978 under the leadership of Augusto Grilli and Mariarosa Scalero.
Today, the Foundation is chaired by Augusto Grilli and artistically directed by his son Marco Grilli, who has more than 30 years' experience at the helm of the Alfa Theatre in Turin and numerous national and international tours.
The facility covers 1300 m² and includes, in addition to the museum, a 90-seat theatre with a stage, an outdoor stage and a green area under renovation for the future Urban Puppet Farm.
The museum houses the permanent exhibition Figures waiting for movement, a fascinating journey through the art of Italian puppeteers through more than 200 works from all over Italy. The exhibits include marionettes, puppets, stage sets, theatres, props and historical scripts.
