Museo naturalistico del Fiume Po

The Museum is located in the historical centre of Revello and consists of a large exhibition space where visitors can observe at close quarters many aspects of the rich nature that characterises the system of protected areas of Monviso, with particular attention to the environments surrounding the river Po.

The fascinating dioramas (full-scale reconstructions of natural environments with their hosts) set up in this space offer an interesting perspective on the river ecosystem and the fauna that inhabits it, appreciable both from a scientific and aesthetic point of view.

In 2022, the new geology section was inaugurated in an adjoining room, describing the stone treasures of the Po valley: the Monviso jade and the Martiniana Po pyrope, in particular, recounting the geological history of the valley and showing rocks and minerals that make up the mountains of the Monviso massif.

Designed especially for schools, but open to all, the museum also has a space for showing films, as well as a small educational workshop, where it is possible to explore particular themes related to the different natural environments and the activities carried out by man in the park.
