Museo etnografico “Coniolo, il paese che visse due volte”

Inside the Town Hall is located Museum, which tells the extraordinary story of Lower Ancient Coniolo, a village abandoned a century ago due to mining activities. marl, a valuable raw material for the cement industry.

Via a multimedia journey, the museum brings to life hard work in the mines of men and women, but also of children which, starting from nine years, they could be employed as miners.

Visitors can admire models of the ancient collapsed settlement and the details of underground mines, discover tools that no longer exist e means of transport used in tunnels, on land, in the air and along the river.
