includedInside the Town Hall is located Museum, which tells the extraordinary story of Lower Ancient Coniolo, a village abandoned a century ago due to mining activities. marl, a valuable raw material for the cement industry.
Via a multimedia journey, the museum brings to life hard work in the mines of men and women, but also of children which, starting from nine years, they could be employed as miners.
Visitors can admire models of the ancient collapsed settlement and the details of underground mines, discover tools that no longer exist e means of transport used in tunnels, on land, in the air and along the river. The route culminates in the evocative experience of walk through a faithfully reconstructed section of mine, complete with background noise and the possibility of listen to the dialogues of miners from that era.
