The visit to Chapel of Theodolinda and Iron CrownDue to the nature of the visit and the way it is conducted, it is not included in the Abbonamento Musei. For the visit (with reservation required) there is a surcharge of € 9.00 for holders of Full and Senior Subscription, and of € 5,00 for Junior and Young season ticket holders.

➡️ VISIT INFORMATION: changes to the route and temporary closures

We would like to inform you that major renovation and refurbishment work has begun inside the Museum. The aim of this work is to accommodate the remains of Estorre Visconti within the exhibition spaces by the end of 2026.

To ensure you can plan your visit properly, please note that the route will be subject to the following changes to accessibility over the coming weeks:

• Until the end of July | Gaiani section closed: The entire Gaiani Wing is temporarily closed due to building works. The only part of the museum that is open to visitors as usual is the Treasury Room.
• From 7 to 10 July inclusive | Complete closure: Over these four days, the Museum will be completely closed to the public and it will not be possible to gain entry with the Museum Pass.
