EDUCATIONAL SILK MUSEUM

The Silk Museum was opened in 1990 and was designed to illustrate the history of the complete cycle of silk fabric processing, from silkworm breeding to ennobling through twisting, weaving, dyeing and printing. All illustrated by a considerable heritage of machines, technical equipment, various tools in use between 1850 and 1950, still in working order. The Museum offers historical documentation - digital archive, library, period photographs - of the economic, social and urban development of the city, influenced by the textile industry. The Silk Museum offers the possibility of visiting its halls in a new way, through experiential tours, thematic visits, workshops for children and adults, temporary exhibitions and various events to deepen the experience inside.
