Art Museum
Museo di Arte Religiosa Alpina di Giaglione
Giaglione (TO)

The museum is housed in the premises adjacent to the Giaglione rectory house. The exhibition brings together works of sculpture, painting, jewellery and textiles from the numerous country chapels in the area, with artefacts dating between the 15th and 20th centuries.
The museum is housed in the premises of the rectory house, located a short distance from the parish church of San Vincenzo Martire. The museum exhibition brings together the most valuable artistic testimonies from numerous sites in the Giaglione area. In particular, the museum exhibits a significant collection of Alpine wooden statuary dating from the 15th to the 20th century, mostly the work of prestigious carving schools from the nearby Maurienne, such as that of the Clappier di Bessan or Claude Simon di Bramans. Alongside these works, gold and sacred vestments are on display, enriching this small but very precious museum of Alpine art.
