It is dedicated to the reconstruction and documentation of the historical-environmental evidence of the local area; indeed, it can be argued that the natural environment has been progressively domesticated and humanised, creating the space and landscape that is home to us every day.
The layout of the museum offers an analysis of the resources used by man during the millennia of his settlement in the Cavallina Valley. The exhibition is divided into five thematic sections, each presenting one of these resources and the use made of it historically: stone, water, vegetation, animals. A special space is dedicated to the Endine and Gaiano lakes, environments that strongly characterise the landscape of the valley bottom, creating areas rich in biodiversity.
Among the museum's projects is the establishment of a documentation centre on the Cavallina Valley.
