The Cycling Museum dominates the summit of the Colle del Ghisallo, a legendary destination for cycling enthusiasts from all over the world. Next to it stands the famous Sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna, patron saint of cyclists since 1949. Inaugurated in 2006, the museum is a true temple of sporting memory: through more than 1,500 items of memorabilia - including historic bicycles, iconic jerseys and race items - it preserves and celebrates the timeless epic of two wheels.

The Cycling Museum is a choral tribute to all those who have made the bicycle a symbol of life and sport: from legendary athletes to far-sighted manufacturers, from organisers to journalists, to the lesser-known figures who, behind the scenes, have nurtured this passion. The objective is clear: preserving and handing down the universe of two-wheelers in all its facets.

Unique collections and world records

The real beating heart of the museum is the extraordinary collection of over two hundred shirts from the most prestigious international competitions. These include a unique collection: more than 50 Pink Jerseys, a collection resulting from the collaboration with The Sports Gazette with the ambitious goal of exhibiting one specimen for every historic edition of the Giro d'Italia.

Technology and Evolution

The exhibition dedicated to bicycles not only celebrates racing, but also offers a deep insight into the’technological evolution of the medium. This scientific rigour has allowed the museum to become part of the prestigious Network of Technical and Scientific Museums of the Lombardy Region.

A centre of culture and memory

For scholars and the curious, the museum serves as a true historical archive:

Specialised library: a large collection of period volumes and periodicals ready for consultation.
Multimedia archive: over 100 historical films retracing the excitement of racing from the 1940s to the present day.

A living, multifunctional space

The museum is not just an exhibition, but a constantly evolving place. Thanks to temporary exhibitions and thematic events, the venue is constantly exploring new aspects of cycling. The versatility of the premises also allows for private and professional events, from corporate conventions through to weddings.
