Since its opening in 2009, the “Giuseppe Oggionni” Archaeological Museum has been a guardian of local historical memory. The exhibition boasts a rich heritage of local artefacts, the result of a synergy between state deposits and direct acquisitions by the institution.

The exhibition is divided into three chronological sections: protohistory, Roman era e Middle Ages. Among the most valuable exhibits are a Celtic burial from the 1st century A.D. (discovered in 1980), the “little treasure” from Via Verga - consisting of more than one hundred coins from the Diocletian era - and the original of the famous Cat, a historical symbol of contention with nearby Caravaggio. The exhibition is enriched by two reconstructive models of Treviglio in the year 1000 and the 15th century, as well as interactive stations and an educational workshop dedicated to educational activities.
