MUBA – Museo dei Bambini Milano

The MUBA – Milan Children’s Museum For over 25 years, it has been a leading cultural centre dedicated to children, to game and to thefirst-hand experience. Through expressive forms and stimulating materials, it offers immersive experiences designed to spark the creative thinking, to promote the collaboration and cultivate the curiosity. Its cultural programme is aimed at young children but also extends to secondary schools, universities, teachers and educators.

Among the museum’s main exhibitions are:

• REMIDA MILAN (12 months – 5 years): A great creative upcycling workshop where fabric, wood, plastic and recycled materials become tools for discovery and invention. A free and unstructured environment that invites children and adults to explore together without any pre-determined plans.

• CONNECTIONS (3–8 years): A interactive exhibition-game focusing on visible and invisible ties which bring together people, nature and knowledge. Through four evocative installations (IN-CON-TRA, MEANWHILE, FALLEN e IN-VISIBLE), the museum space becomes a place of sensory exploration e collective storytelling.

• THE CHAMBER OF WONDERS (ages 6–11): An immersive experience dedicated to the charm of nature. Surrounded by natural objects, magnifying glasses and picture books, the children explore the world from the macro to the micro, learning to observe reality with respect, wonder and a spirit of inquiry.

The MUBA is open Tuesday to Sunday:

• in the weekend, on public holidays and on some Friday afternoons (5.00 pm), it welcomes families
• From Tuesday to Friday, it welcomes school groups
