MERLATE PANORAMICHE

The Ascent to the Merlate Panoramiche allows visitors to discover the defence system and admire the urban skyline from several viewpoints, while at the same time understanding the complex and fascinating structure of Castello Sforzesco.

A series of descriptive panels accompanies the tour: historical notes, details on the defence systems, curiosities and information on visible points of interest. The panels tell the visitor about the history of the Castello Sforzesco and its defence system: from the ancient wall of the Ghirlanda (Garland), to the Rivellino di Santo Spirito, to the embrasures, machicolations and battlements. There is no lack of legends and references to points of interest in the medieval and modern city, from the Duomo to the Unicredit Tower, from the Campanile di San Gottardo in Corte to the Bosco Verticale, up to the buildings of Muzio and Ponti and the Towers of CityLife, embracing the transformation of the city, from the ancient medieval grid to the contemporary city.

For independent access to the Merlate Panoramiche, it is necessary to collect your ticket at the ticket office, located inside the Info Point of the Castello Sforzesco.
