La Maison des anciens remèdes in Jovençan is the first centre in Italy dedicated to updating the use of medicinal plants and ancient remedies. Created to conserve and transmit the memory of the therapeutic knowledge of the popular culture of the Valle d'Aosta, the Maison brings together ancestral healing traditions and skills - empirical but based on observation, documentation and experimentation - with modern scientific knowledge, in a process in which everything is intertwined and mutually enriched.
The visit takes the form of a dynamic and engaging journey of discovery of plants, designed to be stimulating and accessible to people of all ages. The experience continues outdoors in the Jardin des anciens remèdes, where plants tell their most fascinating stories, intimately linked to the communities that have cultivated and cared for them over the centuries. Here you can touch, smell, taste and simply admire nature, rediscovering its beauty and profound value.
