The MAIN is an exhibition centre that hosts temporary thematic exhibitions, dedicated to local and international craftsmanship, lasting up to two years.

The acronym MAIN translates the philosophy of the museum space by playing on the French word 'hand' and the English sonority 'man' to emphasise how the hand of man is the indispensable element of craftsmanship.

The exhibition centre narrates handicraft objects as instruments of dialogue between cultures: by observing their similarities, diversities, anomalies and aesthetic canons, our knowledge is enriched through comparison with other places and experiences.

The themes chosen for the exhibitions also aim to act as an 'input' to give new impetus to objects that are slowly disappearing from our crafts.

The exhibition centre is open to the public from 2 July to 31 August 2022 from Wednesday to Sunday 1-7 p.m.
