included The M.A.C.A.M. in Maglione is an open-air museum, a proposal of contemporary works of art of different tendencies displayed on the houses and in the spaces of the town centre: no entrance fee is charged, there are no opening or closing times and the visit is very easy even for people with disabilities.
The open-air museum in Maglione (TO) was founded as a non-profit association. It began operating in 1985, and has gradually developed; to date it comprises a heritage of approximately 160 works including paintings, sculptures and installations distributed on the walls of houses, in gardens and municipal spaces. This open-air museum has been able to come to life and grow richer thanks to the help of public bodies, in particular the Piedmont Region. The artists invited by MACAM to create a work are Italian and foreign, and belong to the most diverse currents.
