MAC | MOSTRA ARCHEOLOGICA DI CHIERI
includedThe exhibition route winds its way through three thematic rooms dedicated to trade, funeral rituals and handicrafts of excellence.
La first stage illustrates trade in Roman times, documented by the numerous amphorae found in Chieri, both of local manufacture and imported from the different shores of the Mediterranean.
We then move on to the second hall, which opens a window on the world beyond the Channel and the rituals that accompanied the deceased on their final journey. The tour concludes with the section dedicated to ceramic productions from the imperial and mediaeval periods: here, alongside refined examples of glazed, engobed and glazed ceramics, precious production indicators, such as kiln spacers, stand out, testifying to the liveliness of Chieri's ancient workshops.
