LEONARDO3 MUSEUM
includedThe Leonardo3 Museum offers an immersive and interactive experience to discover the multifaceted genius of Leonardo da Vinci. Visitors can explore his extraordinary output through more than 200 interactive 3D machines and working physical reconstructions, many of which have never been realised before.
Manuscript B, the Codex on Flight and the Codex Atlanticus, which contain most of Leonardo's studies in the fields of technology, science and engineering, form the historical basis for the long work of reconstructing his inventions. From these invaluable sources, extraordinary machines have been recreated, including the Clavi-Viola, the Mechanical Lion, the Submarine, the Swift Crossbow and the Great Kite.
Thanks to innovative digital tools, it is possible to consult Leonardo's writings and interact with his creations in new and engaging ways. Particular attention is paid to children, who can experience the Leonardo's workshopassembling his inventions and obtaining an inventor's certificate, or try his hand at the physical construction of the Self-Supporting Bridge with wooden elements.
Leonardo's paintings also play a starring role in the museum: the digital restoration of theLast Supper allows visitors to rediscover lost details and colours, while the augmented reality reconstruction of his painting workshop transports visitors to the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie, offering a unique insight into the environment in which the master completed his masterpiece.
