La Fabbrica dei Suoni

In March 2007, the first futuristic theme park entirely dedicated to sound and music, the only one of its kind in Europe, called La Fabbrica Dei Suoni (The Sound Factory) was designed and built.
It stands on the site of an old factory where wood was worked in the 1970s, a tradition very much present in Val Varaita. Participants find themselves immersed in a captivating itinerary that allows them to learn about the parameters of pitch, intensity, timbre and duration, experience the vibration of sounds and the propagation of sound waves in space, and learn about musical instruments from all over the world. Inspired by the educational values of teamwork, within the museum itinerary we also work, like factory workers, to learn how to transform noise into sound, putting together many elements along the way and focusing on strengthening the spirit of cooperation among participants.
