GAMeC – GALLERIA D’ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA DI BERGAMO

Inaugurated in 1991 inside the old Monastery of the Resigned and Servite Nuns - masterfully restored by Studio Gregotti Associates - the GAMeC of Bergamo is today one of the centres of excellence for modern and contemporary art in Italy. With its 1,500 square metres of floor space, the museum is a constantly evolving cultural ecosystem: a dynamic space where international exhibitions, solo and group shows are interwoven with a rich programme of activities designed to involve an increasingly heterogeneous public.

In addition to its exhibition programme, the Gallery preserves and enhances the city's artistic heritage through an active policy of acquisitions and donations, ranging from 20th century masters to the most current voices on the global scene. Founding member of AMACI, GAMeC constantly dialogues with the most prestigious international institutions, reaffirming its role as a critical, social and cultural laboratory.
