Forte di Bard

includedThe Fortress of Bard hosts four permanent museum routes, each dedicated to a different aspect of Alpine history and culture.
The Museum of the Alps is a multidisciplinary, interactive and multimedia itinerary that explores the universe of the Alps and mountains. The 25 rooms blend tradition and innovation, offering an engaging account of the mountains, experienced and shaped by man over the centuries. The tour is divided into three sections: the first introduces the natural and anthropic elements of the Alpine landscape, the second explores Alpine civilisation, while the third analyses the transformation of the mountains in modern times.
Still dedicated to the Alps, but with an itinerary dedicated to the growing impact of climate change, the new Museum The Children's Alps open in October 2025. A path of awareness and knowledge aimed at schools, but not only, that delves into the increasingly disruptive effects of the current climate crisis. With a special focus on the Aosta Valley mountains, the visit is structured to offer an immersive experience to discover the four most representative peaks of the Aosta Valley and their glacial areas.
The Ferdinand. Museum of Fortifications and Frontiers takes visitors on an exciting journey through the evolution of defensive techniques, siege tools and the concept of the frontier itself, from ancient history to the contemporary age.
The history of the Fortress of Bard is revealed in the ancient Prisons. Films, documents and 3D reconstructions guide the public to discover the architectural evolution of the fortress and the events that have marked its destiny, from the year 1000 to its reconstruction in the 19th century, up to the present day.
