FORTE ALBERTINO DI VINADIO
includedSet against the spectacular backdrop of the Alps, the Forte Albertino di Vinadio represents one of the most important examples of military architecture in the Alps.
Commissioned by King Charles Albert, it was built between 1834 and 1847, with an interruption between 1837 and 1839. In just eleven years, one of the most imposing fortifications of the time took shape, an authentic masterpiece of engineering and military strategy.
