Since 2013, the Violin Museum has added a splendid new page to this long tradition, offering the international community - thanks to the sensitivity and generous support of the Arvedi Buschini Foundation - a place of excellence that combines the functions of Museum, Auditorium e Research Centre.
It is not only a space dedicated to celebrating the greatness of the past, but also a lively look at the present. The Museum offers an authentic journey through time through the world of violin making, from its origins to its most recent expressions.
At the MdV it is possible to retrace five centuries of Cremonese violin making by meeting the great masters and their instruments up close - Amati, Stradivari, Guarneri - true masterpieces of art and ingenuity. A unique collection, flanked by multimedia installations, historical documents e concerts with original instruments, accompanies the visitor on an exciting and evocative journey, where sounds, images and stories intertwine to shape an unforgettable experience.
