Fondazione 107

Foundation 107 It is an exhibition space dedicated to promoting the’contemporary art in all its forms and expressions. Situated in the Madonna di Campagna neighbourhood, in a suburban area with a strong industrial character, was established with the aim of helping to redraw the urban landscape of culture and to revitalise a part of the city situated away from the liveliest cultural hubs. The Foundation forms part of the wider Project 107.

Institution not-for-profit founded at the behest of the The Piccari family, Fondazione 107 was inaugurated in Turin in 2009, in the very area where the family had taken its first steps in the metalworking industry back in the 1950s.

The exhibition venue covers an area of approximately 1,500 square metres inside a former industrial warehouse dating from the 1950s. The regeneration project sought to preserve the distinctive features that define the site’s identity: the architectural structure, with its characteristic barrel vault and skylights, stands as a significant testament to industrial archaeology and to the history of industrial development that has profoundly shaped this part of the city.

In the block between Via Depanis and Via Sansovino It brings together offices, workshops and exhibition spaces designed to foster interaction between the various sectors of the creative world. A place of discussion and exchange through exhibitions, events and interdisciplinary debates; it also provides a platform for independent artists and curators and promotes educational activities in collaboration with Italian and international institutions.

The 107 Foundation is open to the public only during temporary exhibitions.
