Ex Chiesa di Santo Stefano
Mondovì (CN)
The church of Santo Stefano in Mondovì Breo, built in the 18th century under Francesco Gallo, has recently undergone restoration work to preserve stuccoes and frescoes. Belonging to the Confraternity of the White Battuti, founded in the 14th century, its construction began in 1701 and was completed in 1771, despite financial difficulties. The bell tower, the work of Gallo, was completed in 1798. After a long period of interventions and additions, the church is now preparing for a new life, bearing witness to the architectural mastery of the time and the dedication of the Confraternity.
