Ecomuseo di Cascina Moglioni
Non in abbonamentoThe Cascina Moglioni Ecomuseum is located in an extremely evocative natural setting, amidst beech woods, ancient chestnut trees and wet meadows, within the Capanne di Marcarolo Regional Nature Park.It is administered by the Piedmont Apennines Protected Areas Management Authority and has its Visitor Centre at an old typical local farmstead in the hamlet of Capanne di Marcarolo in the municipality of Bosio (AL), near the historic site of the Benedicta, a place known because it was the scene of a terrible round-up in the spring of 1944, in which more than one hundred young anti-fascists lost their lives.Visitors can learn about the traditions, lifestyle, and economy of an ancient community, that of the Cabané, which for various historical reasons has maintained its own characteristics over time; there are permanent collections of traditional objects; educational workshops (e.g. spinning) are possible; themed exhibitions and displays are held annually; musical and theatrical events of national importance are organised in the "theatre in nature".
