Ecomuseum
Ecomuseo della Civiltà Montanara di Bagneri
includedBagneri is a small mountain village at an altitude of 900 metres in the municipality of Muzzano, increasingly popular with tourists and visitors. The parish, founded in 1837, extends to the crest of Monbarone, including mountain pastures and farmsteads. For over 40 years, the village has been frequented by the Biella scouts, who combine educational activities with care for the area and attention to the inhabitants.
In 2004, the non-profit association Friends of Bagnerinamed after Enrica Simone, a scout with ties to the village, which promotes adult volunteering and has made possible the recovery of houses for hospitality, the Eco-museum and workshops for children. The community organises events that unite residents and visitors: the fagiolata (bean soup), the herb festival, the walk to the Salvine, the feast of San Bernardo, the Madonna del Piumin, the autumn chestnut festival and the Thanksgiving feast.
Bagneri hosts a cell of the Elvo and Serra Valley Ecomuseum, with which it actively collaborates together with the municipality of Muzzano. Membership of the Biellese museum network, supported by the CRB Foundation, has boosted summer hospitality thanks to young trained operators.
The village retains a strong community spirit and spaces dedicated to spirituality, including the Parish, the Scout House, the Spirituality House and the Madonna del Piumin area. Surrounded by meadows and woods, Bagneri is a place of peace and discovery, where you can rediscover typical products, recipes and mountain traditions.
The Scout House, converted from the old parish house, is now a stable base for scout groups, families and parishes. Managed by the Friends of Bagneri, it provides accommodation, maintenance and logistical support for all activities.
