Cripta San Michele Arcangelo

The crypt is located in the basement of the church, which was erected between 1784 and 1788 to a design by Pietro Bonvicino, who also built the entire block of which it is a part (1788-1795). The church is annexed to the convent complex of the Trinitarian Discalced Fathers of the Slave Redemption, known as San Michele, for whom it was conceived. Following the French occupation, the Trinitarian Fathers were transferred to the church in 1801 and since then it has been used as a parish church.
