CASA RAVERA

The Casa Ravera Museum in Bene Vagienna offers a visit structured along a chronological path, from the Roman age to the Baroque. Starting from the Roman age, which preserves the section of the Ravera archive relating to the collection of sketches, drawings and documents by Vacchetta concerning the excavations of Augusta Bagiennorum, one can admire, among the numerous finds, three rare keystones from the medieval age (formerly from the ancient parish church), a picture gallery, wooden sculptures and sacred silverware. Two precious inlaid tabernacles by Pietro Piffetti from the 18th century and the Magistrati Monstrance, a gift from the Austrian Emperor Leopold I of Habsburg (made in Augsburg at the end of the 17th century) stand out. The building is a significant cultural centre in the city. The loggia houses temporary exhibitions.
