BORGO DEL MAGLIO DI OME | IL MUSEO AVEROLDI

Ome (BS)
included
Comprising a nucleus of rural buildings of medieval origin, the Borgo del Maglio di Ome has two museum venues: the Maglio Averoldi museum, a 15th-century forge featuring a water wheel that still moves the mallet, and the Casa Museo Pietro Malossi, which houses the collection of the antiquarian of the same name.

The Averoldi Hammer15th-century forge, featuring a water wheel that still moves the mallet today, thanks to live demonstrations by skilled iron craftsmen. The Maglio Averoldi represents a significant piece of history of the artisan origins of Franciacorta.

Dating back to 1080 according to historical documents, it is part of a complex of buildings of significant historical value and still intact, consisting of a two-storey above-ground building used as a forge for ironworking.
