Archaeological Museum
Museo Archeologico Nazionale della Lomellina
includedThe Museum's rooms house sections from different periods, from the Celtic Age to the early Middle Ages. The 15th-century stable, the Museum's first room, is dedicated to the Late Celtic and Roman necropolises, which constitute the most significant archaeological documentation of the area.
Within the grave goods, in addition to earthenware vessels and metal tools and ornaments, of particular note are the glassware, valuable for the variety and beauty of its forms, and the coroplast, which, although less refined, allows interesting observations on funerary ritual
Two other rooms are dedicated to the Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages and to the territory of Vigevano from Prehistory to the Roman Age, respectively. The last room is reserved for rotating exhibitions. The large hall adjacent to the stables, destined in the future to house the prehistoric and protohistoric section, is currently used for temporary exhibitions, conferences and educational activities.
