A new route to rediscover
The Tasso and Postal History Museum reopens with plenty of new features for the autumn
There’s some exciting news in store for all lovers of history, communication and historic villages: Saturday 31 October 2026, at 11.00 am, the Badger and Postal History Museum in Camerata Cornello (BG) is opening its new exhibition layout.
The slogan for the day best encapsulates the spirit of renewal: “The destination is the same. The route is different”. The new route winds its way through three buildings in the picturesque medieval village of Cornello dei Tasso and will tell the story of the region and the history of the Tasso family — pioneers and founders of the European postal system — and the evolution of the transmission of information, from the earliest couriers to physical media, right through to the invention of the postage stamp and the innovations of the 20th century.
The refurbishment also extends to the communal areas, which have been designed to provide a space for socialising, reading, playing and taking a break, open to everyone.
The programme and guided tours
To mark the reopening and help visitors discover the beauty of the village and the surrounding area, the Museum is offering a packed programme of guided tours for the autumn:

A special two-hour tour of Lower Bergamo and Upper Town, led by Tosca Rossi (Terre di Bergamo), to discover the traces of the Tasso family in the city (there is a charge for this event; booking is essential by 15 October).

Activities for children and families
There will be plenty of workshops for young children and their families, offering a hands-on and fun way to explore history:
