Turin Design City. Tangible Transitions
How can the design can make a tangible contribution to the transition towards a more sustainable future? That is the question at the heart of Tangible Transitions, a project that brings together creativity, design, innovation and environmental awareness to show how change can become a tangible, everyday reality.
The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the relationship between people, materials, technologies and the local area, demonstrating how new ideas and design approaches can transform production processes and the way we experience the spaces around us. From the choice of raw materials to reuse, from reducing waste to experimenting with new models, design thus becomes a tool for tackling the environmental and social challenges of the present.
Through a programme of exhibitions, talks, workshops and activities, ‘Tangible Transitions’ creates opportunities for dialogue between designers, professionals, businesses, institutions and the public, focusing on experiences and solutions that translate sustainability into real-world practices.
A project to find out how the the transition can become a reality, starting precisely with the objects, spaces and choices that form part of our daily lives.
