The City is a Garden

From 16 September to 15 December 2026, the Dorado community hub is hosting The City is a Garden, a unique and extraordinary exhibition of drawings by Sir Peter Cook. The event has been organised to mark his appearance as the headliner at the tenth edition of Utopian Hours, the international city-making festival organised by Stratosferica.

The exhibition

Co-founder, in the 1960s, of the historic avant-garde group Archigram, former director of the ICA in London and head of the Bartlett School of Architecture, Sir Peter Cook is one of the figures who have had the greatest influence on the contemporary urban imagination.

Curated by Claudia Pasquero in collaboration with ecoLogicStudio, the exhibition traces the career of the architect and urban planner, showcasing recent works and, for the most part, fantastical drawings never before exhibited in Italy. His illustrations explore vibrant cities where nature, technology and architecture blend together, focusing on the concept of PLAY (play) as a catalyst for imagination and architectural thinking.
