QUADILA Festival 2026

News published l'8 July 2026

Everything is ready for the debut of QUADILA Festival 2026, the cultural festival now in its sixth year, which, since 9 to 26 July, will transform the village of Albugnano (known as the “balcony of Monferrato”) and the neighbouring municipalities into an open-air stage.

Organised by the association Goethe’s Pond – ETS, this year the festival is focusing on the theme “Paths of Meaning”. The aim of the event remains to restore the theatre’s most authentic, magical and social character, by placing it in constant dialogue with music, knowledge, literature, history and the sciences.

All the events in the packed summer programme are at free admission, with the public having the option to make a donation of their choice to support the festival.

The first events on the programme

The curtain rises Thursday 9 July at 9.00 pm in Berzano di San Pietro, at the picturesque viewpoint of San Pietro, with “Moscow–Petushki. A Railway Poem”, a travelling audio-guided performance starring Diego Coscia, based on the famous novel by Venedikt Erofeev.

The weekend will continue in Albugnano, in the courtyard of the Antica Canonica:

  • Friday 10 July: At 7.00 pm, the Quadila Bar, a space where the arts, scents and flavours come together, followed at 9.00 pm by a screening of the documentary “To pass away” and the discussion with the director Remo Schellino.
  • Saturday 11 July: A focus on music and experimentation with composer Dario Buccino. The event will take place at 11.00 (Camilla Serafino Hall) “HN System – The Eternity of Everyday Life”, whilst at 2.00 pm (meeting at the Enoteca Regionale dell’Albugnano) the workshop, which is open to everyone, will begin “Musical Initiation Festival”.
