Observe how talcum powder was historically mined, discovering the methods and traditions associated with this precious mineral.

THE DEPARTURE

Getting to the mine has never been easier! The meeting point is located at the Resistenza structure, Piazzale Luigi Milano, in Forno di Coazze. There is plenty of convenient and free parking on the roadside. From the meeting point, you will walk for about 20 minutes along the road until you reach the Garida talc mine.

THE EXCURSION

• Duration2.15-hour mine excursion, part of an exciting half-day adventure.
• Underground exploration: You will walk through about 1000 metres of tunnels, immersing yourself in the history of talc extraction. A fascinating journey through the hidden beauty of the earth.
• Equipment Provided: no need to worry about equipment! Helmets and lights will be provided at the start of the hike to ensure your safety and maximum comfort.
• Recommended clothing: wear boots or closed waterproof shoes to face the underground adventure. Dress well because the temperature inside the mine is 9 degrees.
