A group of forty-somethings get together for a quiet dinner among friends, but the evening soon turns into an irresistible confrontation of twists, comic jokes, friendship, grudges and deep bonds.

During a convivial evening at the home of two professors, a game of provocation and truth comes to life between relatives and friends that ends up becoming the ironic and biting portrait of a generation: small pettiness, big feelings and lots of humour.
Next to the hosts are her brother - an estate agent - with his partner late for work, and his single friend, a trombonist in a symphony orchestra. When the brother announces that he is to become a father, the evening seems to take a happy turn... until he reveals the name chosen for the unborn child, triggering a series of unpredictable and irresistible reactions.
