The truth about wine

Over the weekend of 26 and 27 September 2026, the halls of Falseum – Museum of Fakes and Deception are transformed into a unique cultural tasting experience.

With a glass in hand, visitors will be able to move freely through the museum’s rooms, guided by a virtual map, and meet wine producers, sommeliers and wine storytellers. Each stand will be dedicated to a wine and a region of Piedmont, with the aim of dispelling misconceptions, urban legends and myths about Piedmontese winemaking.

Details and Special Initiatives

• The Map and the Game: At the start of the tour, you will be given a wine glass along with a small wine-themed game before accessing the dedicated web app.
• The Little Salon of Truths – Aperitif in the Dark: On Saturday 26 September (from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm), the sensory experience will take place “4 senses – wine is something you taste, not something you look at” in collaboration with the Biella Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired: a blind tasting focusing on smell, taste, hearing and touch. (Limited places; registration recommended).
• “Today I am Artemio” campaign: For designated drivers (those who are staying sober for the day), who will receive an identification sticker and a bottle of wine to take home.

  • Sunday 27 September 2026: from 11.00 to 19.30 (last admission at 18.30)

• Tariffs:
  • Holders of the Piedmont and Aosta Valley Museum Pass: € 7,00 (instead of €15.00). The price includes free entry to the museum, a wine glass and tastings. Furthermore, the ticket entitles you to return at any other time of the year to take the standard guided tour at the reduced price of €5.00.
  • Full Ticket: € 15,00
• How to access and book: Visitors will be admitted to the museum in small groups (max. 6–8 people) every 15 minutes. Reservation is strongly recommended at www.falseum.com.
