I Royal Museums of Turin are celebrating ten candles this year and, to mark the tenth anniversary of their establishment, they are returning to offer visitors one of the most popular events of the summer season. 12 June to 31 October 2026, the cultural palimpsest ROYAL SUMMER 2026. An evening at the museum will light up Turin's nights with a rich programme of extraordinary evening openings.
Live concerts, dance, theatre, poetry and avant-garde performances will enliven the most evocative venues of the complex: from the millenary charm of the Roman Theatre to the quietness of the Royal Gardens, up to the majesty of the Royal Palace and the Sabauda Gallery. A unique opportunity to experience the museum heritage in a magical and immersive atmosphere.

- Hours: Special opening from 7.45 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. (last admission 10.45 p.m.).
- What the ticket includes: Access with a free visit to a museum section (different every night!) and participation in the scheduled shows.
The heavyweights of the 2026 programme
The calendar is packed and designed for all audiences. Here are some of the unmissable events to mark in your diary:
- Friday 12 June - European Archaeology Days: It starts with “True stories at 97% - X is never the place to dig”, an inclusive and accessible performance (with LIS translation and FM systems) by and with Alessandro Barbaglia in the Museum of Antiquities.
- Sunday 21 June - Music Festival: The atmospheric candlelight concert (with LED candles) “Notes of Light”, dedicated to the music of Ludovico Einaudi in the Salone delle Guardie Svizzere, accompanied by the extraordinary opening of the Chapel of the Holy Shroud and the Apartment of the Foreign Princes.
- Every Friday (26 June to 28 August): The exhibition returns “Turin crossroads of sounds” in the Roman Theatre, in collaboration with the Giuseppe Verdi State Music Conservatory of Turin.
- Thursday 16 July - Summer Grand Ball: Nineteenth-century atmospheres, dances and period costumes in the splendid setting of the Royal Gardens.
- Saturday 8 August - Night of San Lorenzo: A special evening in partnership with Club Silencio between art installations and concerts under the shooting stars.
- Saturday 5 September - Royal Harvest: Tastings led by expert sommeliers and music in the Royal Gardens (again in cooperation with Club Silencio).
- Wednesday 14 October - National Day of the Italian Baroque: A great concert of Baroque music with the opening of the Chapel of the Holy Shroud and Sacristies.
- Saturday 31 October - Samonios (The True Story of Halloween): The closing event of the festival. A journey through archaeology, re-enactments and ancient rituals that will end in the Royal Gardens with the evocative fire ritual.
