Energy efficiency

As of Monday 7 July 2025the visit route of the Royal Museums of Turin will undergo a temporary variation due to energy efficiency works.

Up to Monday 10 November 2025, the Royal Armourythe Royal Medal Collection and the Chinese Cabinet will remain closed to the public to enable a major redevelopment and extraordinary maintenance work, financed through the funds of the PNRR.

The intervention aims at:

• Improving environmental comfortby introducing a summer cooling system;
• Optimising conservative conditions of exhibits thanks to new low-emissivity films on the windows;
• Enhancing environments and collections with a more efficient lighting system.
