Diego Cibelli. A life in the open air

News published on 16 September 2025

From 17 September - Fondazione Luigi Rovati, Milan

The Luigi Rovati Foundation welcomes the new permanent installation by Diego Cibelli, A life in the open aira series of biscuit porcelain sculptures that transform the spaces of the palace on Corso Venezia into a poetic tale of nature and myth.

Inspired by the Etruscan world and its connection with the natural elements, the Neapolitan artist has created hybrid figures, fantastic animals and trees inhabited by anthropomorphic presences, in a journey that combines ancient memory and contemporary languages. The creative process of the work is also visible in the Spazio Bianco, with sketches, casts and study models.

With this installation, the Foundation confirms its vocation to interweave history and the present, offering the public an immersive experience that enhances the fragility and strength of porcelain as a living, collective material.
