A year of events to celebrate 2050 years of Aosta

As of 21 March, the city of Aosta will be transformed into a stage of unmissable events to celebrate the 2050 years since its foundation. The rich calendar of Aostæ 2025promoted by the Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta and from the Municipality of Aosta, will offer a journey between history, culture and entertainmentinvolving citizens and visitors in a unique experience.

The programme will kick off with the concert Hora Nona at Giacosa Theatre and the evening event Millennial Lights, an evocative visual and audio narration of the city's history projected onto the façade of the City Hall. Highlights include the lecture by the historian Alessandro Barberoscheduled on 25 Marchwhich sold out, but it will still be possible to follow it in streaming and a meeting dedicated to 200 years of the Egyptian Museum with Christian Greco and Evelina Christillin.

There will be no shortage of festivals, exhibitions, historical re-enactments and theatre performancesincluding Tanquea festival dedicated to the theme of death, and #Villenouvellea journey through the city's urban archives. The project, which will develop until Decemberis intended to be not only a celebration of the past, but also an opportunity to imagine the future of Aosta and its cultural heritage.

During the year, there will also be special events and visits reserved for subscribersto discover the city and its heritage with exclusive experiences and dedicated cultural insights.
